The island of Rab is located in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea, in the Kvarner Gulf. It is only two kilometers away from the mainland and is well connected by ferry and catamaran lines.
There are two ferry routes to Rab. The first is Stinica – Mišnjak – Stinica, connecting Rab with the mainland, and the second is Valbiska – Lopar – Valbiska, linking Rab with the island of Krk. The fastest route is Stinica – Mišnjak, taking only 12 minutes, with ferries running every 1–2 hours. The Valbiska – Lopar – Valbiska route takes 1.5 hours, with departures twice a day.

Rab is famous for its diverse beaches, ranging from long sandy bays to smaller, secluded coves. Many beaches are family-friendly, while others offer more privacy and a natural setting. Some of the beaches are easily accessible by boat, car, or on foot.
